As a child, Robert renovated homes with his grandfather, who instilled in him the importance of hard work, dedication, and honesty. He emigrated from Jamaica to the United States as a teen, where his family settled in Huntington, New York. Technologically inclined, Robert was born with innate analytical and design aptitude. He quickly acclimated to his new surroundings and attended Dowling College on a full athletic scholarship for men’s varsity soccer. Robert graduated in 1986 with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and a minor in art. After college, he built a career in management at a local pharmaceutical company as an analytical chemist until he realized his true passion was in building and renovating homes.

Glitz Construction was founded in 2006, which enabled him to reconnect with his roots. After working in the pharmaceutical industry for over a decade, Robert developed a unique perspective and skillset he has since applied to the home design and remodeling industry. He has been praised for his attention to detail, allowing him to solve the most complex residential construction challenges and devise effective, practical solutions for homeowners seeking renovations.
