home remodel in manhasset, ny

This home remodeling project was built for a family in Manhasset, NY (Long Island). This residence in the Flower Hill neighborhood was renovated after the homeowners started working from home more frequently in a post-COVID world. The homeowners desired more comfortable living spaces for entertaining guests and relaxing at home. Glitz Construction worked to expand their ensuite master bathroom by relocating their existing walk-in closet. By moving the existing walk-in closet, the homeowners were also able to create separate his-and-hers walk-in closets.

The homeowners wanted their master bathroom to be their forever bathroom. Their design required a curbless shower, shower bench, and hand shower for long-term accessibility needs. A TOTO Neorest toilet was also installed for enhanced comfort.

The homeowners also requested an updated look with new engineered flooring. The existing parquet flooring was removed and replaced with wide-plank engineered hardwood for a modernized look. The vent covers were custom-made using leftover floorboards for a seamless look. In the family room, Glitz Construction designed a custom built-in unit for the homeowners to display photos and heirlooms.

As part of the home remodeling process, Glitz Construction assisted the homeowners with selecting finishes and procuring materials such as paint, tile, and flooring.

Glitz just finished a large renovation in my home in Manhasset. They did my stairs, floors, TWO bathrooms, including a master suite, a den living room, and an entryway. They were wonderful to work with throughout the entire process. I could not be happier with the work that was done. Their pricing was very reasonable and better than any others we met with. They are professional and show up every day at the same time. I was told the construction would take 6 to 8 weeks, and I did not believe them, and guess what?? They were done by week 8. We are planning on additional renovations next year, and I am so glad I already have the contractor picked out. I plan on using them for all of my future projects.
