second-story home addition & remodel

This home addition and remodeling project was designed and built for homeowners in Hicksville, NY (Long Island). The owners of this Hicksville residence love to entertain. They requested a new home addition and remodel so that they could host more events.

Our team started the renovation by creating a second story. This home addition allowed for greater ceiling height on the first floor and a grand entryway. The defining feature of the entryway is the coffered ceiling and chandelier. The homeowner wanted a statement piece, and this was it!

The kitchen was completely renovated with all-new Viking appliances and plenty of cabinetry for ample storage space. The beverage fridge at the front of the island is also a great feature, making for easy access to grab-and-go drinks for the homeowners and their children.

In the master suite, we added luxurious features typically not found in a split-level home, such as a walk-in closet, dual sinks, and a freestanding bathtub. The high ceiling in the bedroom was also a nice touch, which helped to make it feel airy and open.
